Almost That Time Again......

for the Maine Corps Ball. Ours is this Saturday the 18th, & I am so excited to go because now this year my hubby has friends in his company & gets along with most of them. Now that means I will get to meet wives, and hopefully make new friends. I'm also excited because we are staying at the hotel and I called the desk for a reservation & asked them if they can do something special for us since we didnt get to do anything for our 1 year wedding anniversary since the hubby was away training. They said yes & that we will be surprised when we go to our room.....I can't wait to see what they have in stored for us.

I hope everyone had a safe & fun filled Halloween weekend. I know we did, even though we got hit with the weird snow storm on Saturday. We ended getting last minute costumes to go celebrate my sister-in-laws B-Day at a club here in Elizabeth, NJ. Even though it had snowed we made the best of it. We had an awesome time last night at the Marine Corps Ball. Our ball was at the Sheraton Hotel in Parsippany, NJ. There were so many people there. We got there around 5:45 just in time for the cocktail hour which started at 6PM sharp. I was so happy about that...lol...free drinks yay!!! Anyways, I had 2 whiskey sours & 2 Shirley Temples...yum! My hubby had about 3 beers because he obviously didn't want a repeat from the Halloween party last week. He also didn't want to look bad in front of his team leader & all the other guys. We were good though, neither of us got drunk, even though I haven't gotten drunk since my first & last time on my 19th birthday at a friends house, but that is besides the point now.....LMAO!

Then at 7PM we were told to go to our tables because the ceremony was about to start. We got our seats & sat quietly through the ceremony, as soon as it was done we got our food., which was so delicious by the way. Immediately after the ceremony the DJ started playing his music, & let me tell you he did an awesome job. There were always people on the floor dancing. We took a lot of pictures & took the infamous MCB professional picture.

Marine Corps Ball 2010

I'm so excited for tomorrow as you already know by the title of this post, we are going to the Ball tomorrow. I bought my dress 3 wks ago & got it altered last week. I finally got it back on Tuesday. I have my shoes, my jewelry, clutch, etc. I can't wait to go. I just hope it would stop raining since I'm going to straighten my hair. I can't wait to dance the night away & see the ceremony that they do, I just wish I knew a few girls that are going because we (well I) don't really know any of the other Marine wives, fiances, or girlfriends. I will post pictures up asap & let ya know how everything was don't worry.

Halloween Party!!

Ok so I finally found my camrea cord & was able to save my pictures from this years Halloween Party. I was so much fun, we had such a great time that we are already thinking about next years costume ideas....lol.

So we had to be in Dover, NJ (about 25 mins away) around 6:30PM Saturday, since Angel's cousin (William) wife had our txts to get into the party. And of course we left late because Angel had to help his dad fixing Gabriel's (Angel's younger brother). Luckily, when we got to Will's house he wasn't there yet. He was showing off his new Jeep to his buddies...lol. So I helped his wife Theresa, & his daughter Kayla, get ready for the party. I was just glad that we were able to get there on time before they left. Since Kayla is 18 & was going to be the designated driver for the night we were able to drink a little for the night. The only problem with that was that Angel drank a little more then he planned, & let me tell you that he felt it too...lmao. I have pics to prove it. At the party they had a contest for sexiest, scariest, most creative, & best couples. Angel & I thought we should've won best couple but that didn't happen... :'( ...it's ok we still had a great time either way. We ate, drank, & danced the night away. Now for the fun pictures.....

Halloween Costumes

So we finally got our costumes Tuesday night. For future reference, never go & buy your costume the week of Halloween because let me tell you Party City was hectic. Let me not even start with the lines to order your costume & to try them on. Anyways, Angel & I are going to a Halloween Party on Saturday & there are a few contests that they do so we want to win the couples contest. I'm going to dress up as the Little Red Riding Hood & he is going to be the Big Bad Wolf dressed as granny...lol. He looks too funny, we had to go buy him a pink night gown, pink slippers, & a pink night cap. The whole thing just looks ridiculous but it's hilarious. Don't worry because we are going to take plenty of pictures & you will all see what I mean. I just want to go have a great time & hope we win something.  Have a fun & safe Halloween everyone.
