ADOPTION PAPERS SENT!!!

Sorry that I have been MIA, but just to keep you guys (for whoever still reads this thing) informed, that we have started the adoption process. 

We are working with an Agency out in California called Project Cuddle. They are a non-profit organization that helps you adopt a newborn without paying all the agency fees. All you have to do is get a home study done in your home state, pay the lawyer fees,  get your plane txts and hotel room, whenever you get the call that the birth mother is in labor. 

You qualify by sending your paperwork from the home study and writing a letter to a birth mother. We get put into a portfolio where the birth mother's read through your profile and your letter and choose who they want as a family for their child.  

We have to send another set of paper work and we can get a social worker matched to our case so we can get our home study going and send everything to Project Cuddle. 

Wish us luck everyone and fingers crossed we will be adoptive parents by next year hopefully.  

Last Call You Would Want To Get....

Hey bloggers, 

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I haven't really had anything worth blogging about but now I do. 

On Thursday May 29th, 2014 around 8:15 pm I got a call that my husband had just been involved in a motorcycle accident. My world came crashing down. I was freaking out,  I didn't know how he was, if he was alive, or anything, just that I had to go to the hospital.

I get to the hospital only to find out that he wasn't there, so I started to freak out,  but thank fully the ambulance pulled up to emergency with him on the stretcher. I felt so much better when I was finally able to see him. I'm so glad that he was ok (at least alive). 

A van cut him off and caused him to go down night on RT 3 in East Rutherford, NJ. He suffered a sprained ankle and hurt his pelvis. As a result he has road rash, but thank god he was wearing his gear. He got X rays of his pelvis along with his ankle done at the hospital. Nothing was broken, but he needed crutches until he was able to put his whole weight on his left ankle. He has been home recovering but at least he is still with us. I was so grateful for having all my friends at the hospital with us until he got discharged.  

He is doing so much better a week and a half later. He is even considering going back to work tomorrow even though he is still limping.  

I am so thankful for his guardian angel (his mom) that watched over him that day. 

So much has happened....

During the last 7 months in my life. 

I was laid off from my awesome job back on March 8th. March was the hardest month so far this year. The day before I found out that I was laid off, I was told my Fertility Specialist that I was probably never going to have a child of my own. Why? Because at 26 years old, my reproductive system looks like a 40 year old. My uterus is tilted back, my hormone level is supposed to a 4.2 for my age and it's down to a 1.4. I don't ovulate every month so it's hard to even begin to see when we can try. I also had a polyp in my uterus that I had to get surgically removed because it was the cause of me not getting my menstrual cycle every month and getting it for 3-4 weeks at a time. 

I started working for my aunt at her restaurant and had a a horrible time, unfortunately they really didn't treat me like family and they couldn't wait until they got rid of me. I worked for them for 4 months, and decided I couldn't take it anymore and gave them 3 wks notice. During that whole time I was fighting with unemployment also. 

I was babysitting for 2 months and looking for work while going on interviews too. I finally decided that no one was going to pay me what I was asking for so I decided to take a major pay cut and call and friend of mine that owns a pharmacy. I am making half of what I was at my old job but something is better then nothing at the moment. Please I'm learning to be a Pharmacy Technician so that is a plus. 

Thank God for my husband he has been a God send during these horrible months. But now he hasn't been working and wasn't getting paid because of the stupid government shut down. Now he is just waiting to get pick up to go to work for the Iron Workers Local 11. 

On the plus side I have dropped 50lbs, in the last year and a half and feel great. I am so excited to see where I will be next summer. I leave you with a progress picture of my jeans. 

Hurricane Sandy

So as most of you must know by now, the East Coast has been hit really hard by Hurricane Sandy. Thank God that all my family & friends from Maryland to NY are fine. My husband & I are fine, we lost power at our home & don't know when we will get it back. Word on the street is that it might be btwn Nov 5th - Nov 10th. Hopefully it comes on before that because we are staying at my mother house because luckily her power never went out & I don't know how long we will survive here with her.....lol 

Seaside Heights (Jersey Shore), NJ is gone. The boardwalk is completely gone.

Back From Crap-Ghanistan

Hey everyone, sorry I havent blogged for a few days. But I was extrememly busy this weekend.  I had to leave for Maryland at 6AM on Saturday morning to go sign the house closing papers. I put my name down on the deed so the bank wouldn't take my aunts house away. So her boyfriend Vinnie & I have our names as the owners of the house.

Then I found out that my cousin Christian was coming home on Sunday from his deployment to Afghanistan (was there almost a yr). We did what we had to do to get ready for Sunday on Saturday. Then my cousin (hos sister Stephanie) and I got up and got ready to go get decorations at Party City. We came back home she went to the airport with her twin sister and my aunt, I stood at the house decorating and getting everything ready. Around 4:30 he came in through the door with a big smile on his face. Boy did we miss that face.

I was so happy that me & my mother were able to see him because we headed back to Jersey around 9:30pm that same night. We enjoyed the day with him.

Now we have him home for awhile so I can't wait to go back & see my family for Thanksgiving.

Me Inspiring?

I posted a picture from my p90x workout the other day.

Then I got a comment on it from a girl today that just made my day today.

After seeing that I thought that I would show ppl on Facebook and if I can change just 1 persons life then I have done my job.

After that I got another comment.

All of these positive comments are just giving me even more motivation to just keep going with my healthy lifestyle and continue working in my fitness level. I hope to reach my goal by the summer. I have been able to get down to 228 finally after staying at 230 for a couple of months. But I am going to make sure that once I hit my ultimate goal of weigh 145-150lbs I will just continue to workout and tone up. I can't wait until I am able to wear a bikini for once in my life when I go on vacation with my husband.

 

P90X

Hello world, so I know that I have neglected you guys, and I am very sorry. I have been so busy lately with school, working out, looking for a new job, and helping my friend redo her new house.

My husband was away for 2 wks from Sept 16 to the 29th (actually 28th) in NC. He surprised me and came home a day early, which was awesome but I looked like total crap when he knocked on the door, plus the house was a total mess....lol. I was still happy I was able to sleep with him again so it didn't matter.

I did the Insanity/Brazilian Butt Lift hybrid program for a good month but got bored with it, so as of Monday I started P90X Round 1 Week1. Im doing the Classic program for these next 13 wks (Oct 1st-Dec 29th) then after that I will start the Lean program in Jan after taking a wk off of exercising. I will be posting progress pictures here to let you guys see my journey, so let's see where I look by Dec. Wish me luck.

Haven't Really Talked to Him =(

So we are going into the 2nd week of my DH being away at 29 Palms & we haven't really talked except for early morning July 5th. I got in from watching the fireworks with my friend Jessica & her BF Alejandro around 10:45pm. I decided to do Insanity before bed so I did it and right after got in the shower. While I was finishing up I heard someone calling on Skype it was the hubby. I got to talk to him for about an hour and half. I was a very happy wife when I got off the phone & went to sleep. It was so good being able to hear his voice & see his sexy face.

I can wait until he is home, and according to him he told me yesterday in a quick text that he should be back in Jersey in 2 days. Which is sooner then they were supposed to come back so who really knows because I haven't spoken to him at all since.

Besides not being able to get in touch with the DH I haven't had a bad time alone. This past weekend I spent it in the pool with family & friends. I got a little color on me.

Then yesterday my best friend Kim (Partna) & Ary came over for dinner. it was the first time I cooked since Angel has been gone. Then we watched Teen Wolf while drinking a glass on wine....lol....we had a good time & I needed that because I was really missing my DH yesterday.

Hopefully I get to talk to him tonight (fingers crossed).

Hubby is at 29 Palms

He left for AT (annual training/Reservists) on Saturday. I was able to talk to him for a little on Saturday, then on Monday & didn't talk to him again until last night around 12:30am. I know it's only for 2 wks but I still miss him & he misses me too.

He left on Saturday morning to Picatinny Arsenal Army Base. I went out with my gf Jessie. we went to eat dinner at Applebee's & then went to see......

Sunday I went to my husband's cousin's house to take a dip in the pool until it started raining cats & dogs. But luckily it was only for a little while & we went right back in to keep cool.

I really didn't do anything Monday & Tuesday except hangout with my mom since she was leaving to Maryland on Tuesday night.

So I celebrated 4th of July basically by myself. I mean I went to my cousin's house for a little while and then to see the fireworks with my friend Jessie & her boyfriend. We had a good time but it was the same as previous years.

I got home around 2245 last night did some Insanity (which is going great by the way) took a quick shower right after. And thatnk God it was quick because if not I was going to miss my Skype call from my love. We talked until 0200am my time, 2300 California time. Then I had to be up at 0530 to get ready & be in at work at 0700. So I'm running on 3 1/2 hrs of sleep.

Too Young To Be Gone

So last sunday(6/24/12) my mom calls me at 7:30 am to tell me that her God-daughter Britney, my 13 yr old God-sister past away earlier that day on her way to to the hospital. She had been feeling sick while she was at the babysitters house. Her mom & my mother were at a church retreat for the weekend. So her mom gets a call around 3:30am and off she went to the babysitters house. As she got there the ambulance was putting Britney in the back of the rig. So her mom & step dad got in and went to the hospital with her. As they were on their way she was saying that her chest her and a few mins later she they started to do CPR because she past away on the way to the hospital. They tried to revive her for 45 mins until they finally said there was nothing more they could do and called it.

She had a heart murmur & had been problems latel but nothing serious, until that horrible day. We had a mass for her on Monday, then Tuesday we had a viewing for her at the church because there were too many people that loved and knew her to try and have it at a regular funeral parlor. Then the actual mass & funeral was on Wednesday there were about 1000 people. It was crazy but beautiful at the same time.

Relaxing Weekend

I think the hubby & I had one of the best weekends ever in a long time. We did absolutely nothing but hangout with each other. We went to visit my mom on Friday for an hr, then came home to watch South Park on Netflix. Saturday morning we ran errands until we had to meet up with my father-in-law to look at cars for him. Then came home to relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Sunday I went and tried to go visit my friend who is in a state prison but since the guards always come up with new stupid rules I couldn't go in, so my mom and her friend went in while I waited outside. Then came home to my wonderful husband and relaxed some more. I waited until he was done playing on his Xbox and then went to Applebee's to eat dinner.

I can't complain of my weekend because we had an awesome time together even if all we did was lounge around.....lol.

We have a new Soldier....

So my brotha from anotha motha finally finished all his training and we travelled to Ft. Jackson, Columbia, SC for his graduation on Wednesday night after my hubby, father-in-law, bro-in-law, & I all got out of work. We arrived at Columbia, SC around 15 to 0700. We rested for about an hr & got dressed for the ceremony. We went to base from our hotel to see Andy graduate.

We were so proud of him. What is so sad is that no one from his immediate family went to the ceremony or even asked him about it. (They don't have a good relationship) After the ceremony we waited around took some pictures with him. We had to wait for him to get all his gear so we can bring him back to the hotel with us and later on take him to the Airport.

After all the waiting around we took him back to the hotel. I went to sleep for awhile, we were all tired from the long ride to SC. But the guys decided to hit the pool since the weather was so nice. 

They came up stairs got ready so we can take him to the airport so he can check in at Ft. Polk, LA.

We loved the time we got to spend with him but really wished we could've had more time with him.

After we saw Andy off we went back to Ft. Jackson to explore a little & do some shopping. Went to the hotel, ate dinner and we were all knocked out by 2130. We got up around 0900 on Friday 5/4/12 and started our way back home. But before we left SC we had to make a stop. 

We had a few good laughs and too many silly pictures and I will finally end this post with one of my favorite. It's of my husband (Pharoah) killing my bro-in-law (Medusa).......LOL.

Why Are Men So Insecure?

So I got a text from my husband yesterday morning & he starts telling me that he feels that there is something not right. I ask him what does he mean, things not right between us or me? Of course, like always he says its me, that this weekend while he was at drill and he called me that I wasn't paying attention & asking a lot of questions to make it seem like I was pay attention.

Like I tell him time & time again, I have been hurt before & have also been cheated on by a previous ex just like he has, so I know what that feel likes & I would never want to make him feel like that as long as I'm with him. He is the love of my life, I would go crazy if something were to ever happen between us, he is truly my soul-mate, my one & only, my prince charming in combat boots, my hero. Like I told him if he is insecure then that is something he has  to work out because I have never given him a reason to feel like I am doing him dirty.

But when he came home tonight we talked it out, had dinner, had our quality, & made love before going to sleep. It was one of the best nights we have had in awhile.

He might get on my nerves & want him to leave me alone sometimes but that man truly is my rock & wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Happy Late Easter

So we had a very relaxing Easter. We got up went to to church at 0011 with the father and brother-in-law Gabriel. It was such a nice service, we came back home and the guys were working on my husbands motorcycle in tue garage, while I was in the house cooking Easter lunch. They finished up we ate and the guys stayed home watching a movie while I went to visit my mother before she went to church in the afternoon to eat leftovers they her brothers in God had ate after their mass this in the morning. I went back home, the hubby and I were supposed to go watch a movie but opted to rent one instead and relax at home. Now I am dying to get out of work on time so I can go workout, go home, cook, and then write a paper for school that is due tomorrow.

Going Down South In A Few Weeks

So our best friend Andy graduates on May 3rd, 2012 at Ft. Jackson, SC so I finally convinced my husband to take a road trip down there to see him graduate. So I took the liberty of doing everything myself and booked the Hotel, rental car, & ordered a banner to show support. So on Wednesday May 2nd we are heading down south. We are leaving after my husband gets home from work. I will drive the first few hrs and then we will switch around, I hope we make it to Ft. Jackson to his 9AM graduation ceremony. Then we are going to stay for the night at the hotel I booked and leave the following day just to give us time to rest so the trip wont be so tiring. Andy won't be able to come back home with us because he has to go report to his unit in Louisianna where he will be stationed for the next 4 years. I love the fact that he is getting stationed at Ft Polk because it gives us a reason to go and visit LA.

Why Can't We All Get Along

So I went to Maryland that Friday after thanksgiving and my husband decided not to go after he had originally said he was going. But anyways, that is besides the point because we spoke about that after I came back home on Sunday because I was hurt that he then decided to stay because of his cousin from NC surprised us. I felt as if I was put on the back burner just so he can be with his family. I really wanted him to come with me to the party. Well he didn't and we spoke about how I felt and everything and we got over everything. So my mother decided she want to bring it up again yesterday.and this time tell my husband what she thought about the whole situation. Obviously, my husband got mad and tell her how he felt but wasn't disrespectful and I just wanted both of them to stop talking about the whole situation because I didn't want it to escalate. I just hate being in the middle of the problem. I just wish that they could get along and get over their problem with each other. Maybe one day.......

Our First Thanksgiving At Our Place

Well as you guess got from the title we had Thanksgiving at our place this year. We finally have a big enough place to have people over to enjoy the holiday. We had 16 people in total all together, I was running around like a kitchen without a head all week & working. But in the end it was all worth it, just to be able to spend Thanksgiving with my husband, my mother, & the rest of the family. We even had a surprise come from NC. My husbands cousin came for Thanksgiving and his wife went to Florida to see his family. 


All in all it was a great day with a lot of ups and downs but we loved have Thanksgiving at our place for the first time.
