Back From Crap-Ghanistan

Hey everyone, sorry I havent blogged for a few days. But I was extrememly busy this weekend.  I had to leave for Maryland at 6AM on Saturday morning to go sign the house closing papers. I put my name down on the deed so the bank wouldn't take my aunts house away. So her boyfriend Vinnie & I have our names as the owners of the house.

Then I found out that my cousin Christian was coming home on Sunday from his deployment to Afghanistan (was there almost a yr). We did what we had to do to get ready for Sunday on Saturday. Then my cousin (hos sister Stephanie) and I got up and got ready to go get decorations at Party City. We came back home she went to the airport with her twin sister and my aunt, I stood at the house decorating and getting everything ready. Around 4:30 he came in through the door with a big smile on his face. Boy did we miss that face.
Welcome Home Soldier, Our Hero

With his niece Gia at the airport

It's tradition to hang up your boots when your back from a deployment, so that's what he did.
More than a cousin, he is a brother.

All the cousins from the East Coast
All the aunts & uncles
I was so happy that me & my mother were able to see him because we headed back to Jersey around 9:30pm that same night. We enjoyed the day with him.

Now we have him home for awhile so I can't wait to go back & see my family for Thanksgiving.

As Of Now....

OK let me just say that I am sooooo HAPPY right now!!! This past weekend my hubby told me that the unit he is deploying with cut the list down from 30 something volunteers to only 5 volunteers. The reason I'm so extremely happy about this, is because he isn't on that list of 5. I am so glad it isn't happening because if Angel would've deployed in May he would've came back & 2 months after coming back from Afghan he would have no choice & deploy with his unit also. I would not have been a happy camper if this would've happened.

Since he is going to be here for our One Year Wedding Anniversary we can plan to go on vacation & right now it's looking like we are going to Las Vegas for 5 days, 4 nights.

Thanks for reading everyone & joining me in my happiness that I will have my hubby for a lil while longer.

What's You Song?

So I decided to join in on the fun

Go ahead & link up with;

The song that I have really been listening to lately is called Talking To The Moon by Bruno Mars. With such a close upcoming deployment I think that I will be able to relate to this song even more when Angel is gone for those months. I think what it says is beautiful so here is the video......Enjoy!

So Scared.....

As I sit here listening to the music on my playlist that reminds me of my husband I get more & more scared thinking of him leaving to Afghan in just a few months. As I type this tears run down my face just thinking of all the what if's in my head.

He is actually at drill this weekend, so I have just had a really bummy day. It's almost 1530 (3:30PM) & I haven't done anything or ate anything but chips & dip that I made. I just don't want to do anything but have him here with me forever. I know that I'm a strong woman & can handle it but there are those weak moments that take over you, your body, your head, your soul, & everything hurts. I don't want him to go half way across the world but I know he has to it's his job but I'm scared to death. I'm afraid to get pregnant & have to do everything without him. Even though I know there are a lot of wonderful military wives/fiances/gfs how have done it or are doing it at this moment but it still scares me.

I hate that he won't be here to celebrate our 1st year Wedding Anniversary. I know what I signed up for when I said I do on the altar in front of God, our family, & friends. This military lifestyle is hard but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

I LOVE YOU MR. CAMACHO
ALWAYS & FOREVER!!!

He Dropped the D Word

So as you can tell from the title of this post, my husband told me he is going to be deploying in 2011. I mean I know he told me that he had volunteered about 2 months ago when he was last in drill but I didn't think they would actually pick him to go this time around. I know that he has to go, & I also know what he signed up for when we got married. So I know exactly what I was getting myself into with this whole military lifestyle.

Angel left for drill this weekend & was able to come home every night to sleep (which I loved) then in the morning I would take him to base & he would get a ride home with one of his fellow Marine. So when he came home last night he gave me a great big hug, kissed me & said, "I Love You" which I of course said it back to him. He said get ready because I'm going to take you out to eat. But before I was able to do anything he said that he had to tell me something. So I sat down he took my hands & said, "I'm leaing for deployment in about 5 months to Afghan." after that my heart sank. Everything hit me like a ton of bricks & all I could ask him was;  "for how long & when did they tell you" while I had tears streaming down my cheek. He said that they told him that day while they had down time during drill.

So I got ready & we left to have dinner. I was quiet the whole ride to the restaurant & during dinner until we started talking about everything & he got me out of the trance that I was kind of in from the moment that he told me. He told me not to stress myself about it and that he is going to be safe & will come back to me. Angel wants me to be pregnant by the time he leaves so we are going to try our best in these 5 months that he is still stateside to try & conceive. That way when he comes back in 2012 he can meet our lil bundle of joy. But we are taking everything day by day. I'm going to enjoy the time I have with him until the day he has to leave.

I am ok today but I know that I will have my days of breaking down.
