What's Your Song? Wk #6

Here we are again. I can't believe it's already Thursday & we are already on week 6 of the Link Up that Amber over at Goodnight Moon started. I have so much hopping from blog to blog & listen to all the songs that everyone posts. It is so much fun.

My pic for this week is Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics.

I grew up listening to 80's & 90's music because of all my older cousins. So everytime I hear this song I always go back to the times that my aunt would babysit me & I would sneak into my older cousins rooms to listen to the radio or their tapes. I would always get caught but my cousins would just let me listen along with them. Oh how I miss those days. I hope you all enjoy my song & join in on the fun.

I didn't start from the first week, but I have been linking up ever since I found out of this. It is awesome to see the other songs that bloggers like & why they like it.

Well the song that I want to share with all is Hotel California by The Eagles

This is an awesome 1976 song. It is a great song to listen to when you just want to relax. But  don't you just love the guitar solo. I remember I first this song in Jerusalem when we were on the bus. We had some down time & the guys brought out their guitars & we were having a blast. When all of a sudden the preiest from my church Fr. Sean borrowed a guitar & played this song while he sang it too. We had a great time, this song always brings me back to my trip to Jerusalem back in 2000. Enjoy!!!

As Of Now....

OK let me just say that I am sooooo HAPPY right now!!! This past weekend my hubby told me that the unit he is deploying with cut the list down from 30 something volunteers to only 5 volunteers. The reason I'm so extremely happy about this, is because he isn't on that list of 5. I am so glad it isn't happening because if Angel would've deployed in May he would've came back & 2 months after coming back from Afghan he would have no choice & deploy with his unit also. I would not have been a happy camper if this would've happened.

Since he is going to be here for our One Year Wedding Anniversary we can plan to go on vacation & right now it's looking like we are going to Las Vegas for 5 days, 4 nights.

Thanks for reading everyone & joining me in my happiness that I will have my hubby for a lil while longer.

My husband dedicated this song to me the night he left to boot last December & it really helped me through the time he was gone. I mean I cried everytime I heard it because it reminded me of him. Every chance I got I would hear it....lol....my mom was so tired of the song by the time my love graduated from Boot, but I loved it. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Earthquakes & Tsunamis

So I woke up this morning around 4AM to take Angel to work. We left the house around 5AM, & on our way to his job we heard the breaking news about what happened in Japan. It is so heart breaking hearing & watching all the news on my phone. Now I heard that Hawaii, California, Oregon, & Alaska, along with other countries issued a Tsunami warning.

My prayers go out to everyone in Japan & all the other places that have Tsunami warnings.

Ok so I know that this is only my 2nd week but this is week 3 of the link up....hehehe...sorry for missing a week.

I have been in such a really good mode lately that I have been listening to a lot of Ke$ha's songs especially her new single Blow. I love that song. So I will leave you guys with this awesome song. ENJOY!!!

Show Your Rings

I can't believe that I have been married for almost 9 months already. In celebrating this little anniversary I decided to join in on the fun with Mrs. Yellow-Ribbon showing off our rings. I hope you enjoy.

Did you look at rings together?

We did once but I didn't really think anything of it ater that, but I would send him pictures of rings that I liked.  

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!

I loved my ring from the moment I saw it. It was so beautiful. Babes did a good job...lol

How often do you wear your rings?

I always wear them, I only take them off to wash dishes & to sleep sometimes.

Do you clean your rings?

I take them to the jeweler where he bought it & get it cleaned maybe every 3 months or so.

 

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?

"OMG, I can't believe he is really down on one knee & really wants to marry me. OMG OMG OMG the ring is beautiful."

With such a close upcoming deployment I think that I will be able to relate to this song even more when Angel is gone for those months.
